2019 In Pictures

2019 in pictures. I love looking back on the year and feeling grateful for all the fun things we got up to. It’s been one hell of a ride but ended in the best way with our November wedding. Keep reading for a little throw back to everything we got up to.

January

It was a slow start to the year, exploring more National Trusts, and finding our favourite new brownies spot. If you love brownies you’ve gotta try Slake in Lindfield they are to die for. Crispy top, insanely gooey middle with chunks of white chocolate. Hen party number 1 of the year, afternoon tea at South Lodge. Finally visited Food for Friends in Brighton and fell in love with their crispy tofu.

February

Wedding number 1 of the year at Amberley Castle. Went on lots of train adventures. Discovered Java and Jazz in Forest Row, great for any meal on the day but especially great for Rattle Snake Jake pizzas. Obviously there were more National trust visits, such as Bodiam Castle, It’s conveniently situated near a steam railway.

March

Hen number 2 and a little trip down to Dorset. Back to Dorset for a cheeky night away in Christchurch tied into a work trip John had to do. More national trusts where we found the friendliest robin and fed him cake. A trip to Kidderminster for more steam trains and a little stop in at Bicester Village en route. Got turned into a model railway figurine and ate lots of cake.

April

3rd hen party of the year and we headed to Amsterdam, lots of fun, sight seeing having girlie time and so much prosecco. Exploring more new National trust and getting introduced to Judes ice cream, which might I add became a summer treat. Farm visits, blue bell walks. More cake and finally my first ever football game. Wow saying all that out loud made April feel ridiculous.

May

The month my oldest friend got married, an awesome day for a lovely couple. John started a cute new tradition of the cutest cards and little notes when he’s away and he came home with amazing gifts in the form of Game of Thronesmakeup. Not to mention the end of Game of Thrones which I can’t even talk about.

June

More of our lovely friends got married and I can’t even admit how much cake I ate that night I’ll just show you the selection and you can take a guess. We watched Betrayal and it was one of my favourite plays I’ve seen, so incredible and hello Tom Hiddleston. Some of our usual exploring including Pooh Bridge, brake van steam rides and posey pictures. John’s man cave was finally finished. The month Finished with my hen party. More tequila was drank that weekend than my entire life but I had the best send off with some of my faves.

July

Strawberry picking, spa day and little bits of exploring. John went to Japan twice and my cousin got married. Caught up with my favourite sausage friend Rupert for lots of cuddles.

August

Started off with a trip to London to get the wedding suits, whilst there we checked out Red Farm. They do a bottomless brunch and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s great value and the food is so good. Crispy beef and various dumplings are a must. Next up Luna cinema to see one of my fave films Devil Wears Prada.

The Ridgeview picnic, sunshine, glass of bubbles and delicious picnic snacks. More Slake brownies. My first dress fitting, which went better than I expected.

September

A crazy month jam packed with all kinds of fun. My birthday and Johns birthday. Scotland road trip, including our favourite Ballintaggart. I am so desperate to go back to Ballintaggart really was a flippin good find. Night away and dinner at The Hand and Flowers which was amazing. Friends Fest, a second for me but a first for John. I picked my bouquet, a gorgeous bouquet of faux peonies from Maison De Fleur. Picked and purchased my wedding shoes and had a lovely day with my oldest friend.

October

Kicking off the month with a little comedy. Brydon, Mack and Mitchell at the dome in Brighton. We checked out the Flint House in the lanes, Brighton. It was so good, we had drinks and nibbles on their roof terrace and after we went to see Keane play at the Brighton Centre. Not my usual band but they were so good it was a brilliant concert. I went to My John Lewis beauty weekend to a panel and met the lovely Fleur De Force. One of my favourite bloggers. We went to Sorrel restaurant in Dorking. A delicious 1 Michelin star restaurant that is worth checking out if you’re in the area. I collected my wedding dress. My lovely old Nestle team took me out to start the wedding celebrations. John headed off on his stag do. I went out with friends for another pre wedding celebration.

John on his Stag dressed as Rodney from only fools and horses. Johns nick name at work is Rodders aka Rodney from only fools and horses. Incase you wondered why.

November

The most exciting month of the year. Wedding prep went crazy and I got myself some hair extensions. Thanks to the lovely Nadine at Chealls. Richard fixed my grandmas ring for me so I had my something borrowed. Henry went off on his holidays and then we were off on our wedding adventure.

The adventure started at TWA Hotel New York. An awesome hotel to visit if you’re into planes. On to Naples for a week of chilling and finalising wedding bits. Our big day happened and it was more perfect than I could of imagined. Im now a Mrs which still feels weird. We headed back to New York for 5 days of exploring. Finished with a little relax and massages at Soho House New York. We caught up with our friends who are living out there. The wedding trip was over and back home to Christmas being in full swing.

December

Last month of the year and time to get super festive. We had a few vouchers to use so managed to plan in a few festive treats. Owl experience, such a cool experience. Harry Potter studios, we’ve been before but it has been updated and was even better than before. so much fun.

Our yearly trip to the Blue Bell Railway Christmas carols, if that doesn’t get you festive I don’t know what will. Wreath making, great festive fun and perfect for getting the house looking festive for Christmas.

I can not wait to continue the adventures in 2020 with my husband and favourite adventurer, friends and family. Happy New Year to you all thanks for your continued support of Rachieroo.
