2018 In Pictures

What a year 2018 was, here’s a little round up in pictures. It isn’t until you actually stop and take a look at the last year that you realise how much you’ve done. I had thought we hadn’t done that much but there have actually been a lot of exciting things going on.

So here’s a round up of the best bits in pictures if you’re interested in having a bit of a nosey. Look out for the links relating to any posts I may have done for an in-depth look.

January

The year started off with the arrival of a little mini to the group. Our friends had their first baby and we had lots of cuddles. I realise this is supposed to be pictures but for privacy I’m not including them.

John drove an actual steam train and I found an excuse for another posey picture.

February

We headed for a girls day at Ockenden Manor Spa to celebrate mums birthday. Massage, relaxing and lots of bubbles.

Harry Potter and the cursed child finally happened.

There were plenty of Sunday walks and a bit of playing with the GOPRO and drone. No where near an airport might I add hehe.

March

Friends, steam trains and a whole load of exploring in Dorset. We ate all the food. Starting with afternoon tea at Hilton Sky Bar in Bournemouth, not my fave if I’m honest. Best of all, Hicks in Lyme Regis. It’s all the seafood so if you’re not a fan just don’t bother. Delicious food, gorgeous views and lots of sea air. Highly recommend.

April

Treats galore and a little debut from Henry. We ate more cake than I care to admit.

Duck and Waffle continues the eating. Honestly we do more than just eat. The views are great and the food is delicious. I’m not even sorry that I went for the obvious choice.

Big finale for April, I started my very own business. I actually quit my job, rented a treatment room, kitted it out and went it alone. Hello being a self employed Beauty Therapist. It has been the craziest thing I have ever done but I couldn’t be happier. It’s the best decision I have ever made for my career. That said it has been so tough and I honestly couldn’t have done it with out the support of John. He has been amazing. My family, my mum has had sad messages when its been quiet and countless messages telling her how many people have booked in, she must be sick of me. Aimee and the Chealls girls, they have been amazing recommending their clients to me. I will be forever grateful. All my friends and clients. It’s actually overwhelming how great people have been. I am so grateful and I can not wait to hit the 1 year mile stone. All the details are here if you missed it.

May

We finally booked our wedding. After changing our minds, I can’t even tell you how many times, because one of us is fussy (me). We finally found the perfect location. So November 2019,  we will be getting married at the beautiful Ritz Carlton, Naples. EEEEEEEEKKK

We headed to Shuttleworth air show, a first for me.

Ticked off a some more new things at a once in a life time gig. Rolling Stones was pretty epic and I’m glad we got to go. I can not for a second believe how much energy they still have, it’s amazing.

Finishing off May we stayed at The Ned a brilliant luxurious hotel right in the middle of Bank, London. One night is really not enough, there is so much to experience in one hotel that we definitely need to head back.

Harlem Globe Trotters concluded our little London staycation and the month on May. I love basket ball and am so determined to see a game in New York one day soon.

June

Birthday month for my family starting with my sister and then my dad. We couldn’t not do a trip. We headed to Bath for a weekend away of food, drinks and a few cheeky bets at the horse races. Oh and a little bit of sight seeing.

July

Heat wave was well and truly on the way and certainly gave no need to head abroad but to stay and enjoy the lovely weather. We stayed local exploring lots of pretty places.

Our littlest member of the family turned 2 and enjoyed a lot of Paw Paw treats.

August

Swan Lake finally happened after I can not even tell you how many years of wanting to see it.

Bank holiday adventures to Cheltenham – Food, trains exploring and well pretty much the usual. Can you sense the theme here hehe.

September

Big 30 happened, and wasn’t as painful as I expected. We spent it in Barcelona and included a stay at SOHO House. The best way to spend a 30th, in another country, drinking champagne, having spa treatments and a spending time with my fave person.

30 well and truly spoilt me. My sister and her family treated me to a fun day of treats in London. Afternoon tea and cocktails.

Friends Fest happened and it was awesome.

John is a September baby too, we went horse riding and ventured into London for cocktails and all things touristy.

October

Yes to the dress happened. It’s a huge relief to me as I wasn’t feeling like a wedding dress kinda person. Turns out you just need to find the perfect match.

First ever time flower arranging and something I would happily do again. How cool to use a pumpkin as a vase though.

November

Being the older one you then get to watch all your friends turn 30. We headed to Centre Parcs for our friends 30.

We celebrated one year until our wedding, with cocktails and a tasting menu.

December

To finish the year and get in the festive spirt we went to carols, visited the reindeer and went to glow wild.

I hope you all had an amazing 2018.
