3 Skincare Products I Couldn’t Live Without

How many products is too many and actually could we live with just a couple in our skincare routine. There are people that say you need X Y and Z in your routine and then there are people that say you don’t need anything just wash your face with water. So I got thinking what products are 100% important to me and what products are more of just an extra pamper.

So here are 3 skincare items that I couldn’t live without and reasons why I think if everyone had just 3 products they should pick these.

Cleanser

I don’t care what anyone says. If you wear makeup or are out and about in the world with the levels of pollution going on then a cleanser is a must. It’s the best way to remove makeup, dirt, pollution or anything else that’s getting onto your skin. If you’re savvy about the cleanser you pick you can also get a whole host of other benefits out of it too. Something with mild exfoliation will help boost cell turn over, which in time boosts your skins radiance. It will also help reduce blocked pores, if you’re a blemish/black head prone skin this could help you out.

Serum/Moisturiser

Am I cheating here, yes maybe a little. I think ultimately it comes down to what you as the consumer prefers to use. Some brands require you to use both and others have the technology that lets you use one or the other. Something to be careful with is often products will have ingredients in that are proven to work but if the molecular structure is too large that ingredient will sit on your skin and won’t be able to work down to the basal layer of the skin, which is ultimately where they need to get to do their job. But the point I’m trying to make with this one, god I need to learn not to waffle, is a product that will protect your acid mantle, and keep your skins barrier function performing, as well as having any extra benefits for your skin. So either or but along as you have one of them.

SPF

SPF is the best anti-aging product on the market. No I haven’t gone mad, but I know you’ll be sat there thinking since when did SPF reverse my wrinkles. The answer is it doesn’t reverse anything but it’s one hell of a good preventative. 80% of skins ageing comes from the sun so if that’s not a good enough reason to stock up I don’t know what is. It’s something you should wear every day, if you’re heading outside. There are so many products that include SPF so you don’t necessarily have just an SPF. Why not get more than one benefit out of your product hey?

What are your top 3 products you couldn’t live with out? Let me know in the comments
