Basket Ball lovers, get your Janice voices please…OMG I literally could of cried with excitement when John gave me this present. Ever since I met him I’ve been going on about going to a basket ball game. Oh and years before meeting him I’ve gone on about going. So for Christmas John got tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the O2.
I have never been more excited about a sport. It’s my favourite to play. Yeah I’ve played basket ball and let me tell you it nearly killed me because we all know I’m not overly ‘fit’ but my god it’s fun. So fast paced and exciting. It’s also my favourite sport to watch, but TV just doesn’t do it on the atmosphere front does it?
We went to see what I can only describe as a ‘fun’ basket ball game. Harlem Globetrotters describe themselves as an exhibition basket ball team. So it wasn’t quite the NBA game but it was great fun and certainly gave me the basket ball fix I was looking for.
Game Rules
Shhh the game is fixed so we know who won, but I loved the combination of basket ball game mixed with a bit of entertaining the audience. If you can, grab your self some seats as close to the court side as you can. You may be lucky enough to have one of the players come and sit with you. If you don’t like to get involved sit as far back as you possibly can. You may find yourself stood on the court being entered in a challenge. We were 3 rows back. Which was more than close enough for me. I mean I wanna be court side, you know close enough to touch but I am not getting up in front of all those people. No thank you.
The atmosphere was as you would hope. So many people so excited to be there. The teams really encourage the audience to have the best time.
Something For Everyone
Harlem Globetrotters won’t be for everyone. The biggest basket ball fan on the planet may not enjoy the fun element. As a huge basket ball fan I had the best time. John may have made a slight error because now I’m desperate to go to an NBA game. This kinda game is perfect for families, your kids are gonna love you for taking them. If you can’t quite afford an NBA game then this is a much cheaper alternative.
