The Ordinary

If you haven’t heard of The Ordinary where have you been hiding? Tiny price tags and simple but effective ingredients to get your skin looking pretty awesome. You can’t help but stumble into a store or onto a web page and finish up with a very large basket. It’s ok though that one large basket costs the same, or less in some cases than one expensive skin care item so that is more than enough justification in my book.

Overview

The range is not huge and mostly consists of ingredients in little glass bottles with the cutest pippets, things such as Hyaluronic acid or Retinal. There are a number of oils and a few extras like primers and Glycolic toning solution.

You get exactly what is on the label, no fuss no frills, no our rose petals are picked at sunrise from our secret garden to make you look beautiful and youthful. I mean sure that sounds flippin lovely but you know, really!! The ingredients are tried and tested and we all know they have proven results so there is nothing not to be happy about.

Products

For now I’ve kept fairly reserved, I know who am I and where has Rach gone, but when you’re under 30 you don’t really need anti ageing just a never ending supply of SPF. Prevention is the best cure.

Hyaluronic Acid

Because your skin can never have too much hydration. Hyaluronic acid attracts water. When combating your skin concerns hydration is always a great place to start.

Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I get a few blemishes, this helps to decongest and reduce them.

AHA 30% + BHA 2%

The combination of the AHA and BHA work perfectly together, for exfoliation at the surface and deeper down for more radiant skin and to help decongest. It does kinda look like you’re smearing blood all over your face though. Also if your sensitive this is quite an intense feeling and may be too much.
