No matter what your skin type you need to prep but especially if you’re dry. Use a rich nourishing moisturiser along with serums or oils that will pack your skin with oil and water. Not only is this a great base but it stops your skin trying to eat up your foundation making you look patchy. Nobody wants to be patchy.

Add a few drops of oil or moisturiser to you foundation, this makes it look juicy and glowing instead of flat and dry. It’s also an extra way of nourishing your skin.

Use luminous foundations. Lets state the obvious here but dry skin can be flat dull or grey toned, in which case glow is going to bring it back to life.

Using a damp beauty blender to dab the foundation into you skin will keep things sheer rather than caked and prevents emphasising any dry patches as well as giving another injection of radiance. I don’t know how it does it but it does.

Top up you skins moisture levels throughout the day with a hydrating mist. If that wasn’t quite enough it refreshes your make up.

Avoid powders, add colour with liquid and cream products. Think juicy apple and apply that thought to your skin.

Remember you don’t have to do all of these, cherry pick them. If you’re anything like me you’ll be short of time on a morning so less is quicker.
