I love a unique home. Now and again it’s a little bit fun to think outside the box and stay somewhere that is completely different. This is John’s thinking out side the box. I won’t try and take the credit but I will share it with you just incase you are looking for a unique home for a get away.
If you’d seen my face when I arrived you’d have laughed your head off. I was not sure what the heck was going on and could not understand why I had arrived at a funny looking tower. FYI this was a surprise trip. However I changed my mind and came back with my tail between my legs when I saw the inside and the views.
The Found
Property Name, The Found. This crazy looking tower is the most amazing architectural masterpiece you’ve ever seen. The space has been carefully planned with in an inch of its life therefore resulting in a beautiful 3 bed home. It sleeps up to 6 people, sadly no young children due to the stairs. Trust me it wasn’t safe for me never mind a child. I ended up with a bruise bigger than an avocado on my bum. Why you ask, I slipped down the stairs rushing with excitement. Sorry a bit too much info and completely my fault. It’s furnished sympathetically and in keeping with the project and you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay
Location
Bawdsey, Woodbridge, Suffolk. The Tower is located along the beach and if you want a little history originally the Martello tower was built along with some others (dotted along the beach) to protect the land. The cannon stands are still incorporated into the build. The renovations are sympathetic to the original tower whilst being functional as a home.

Breath taking to die for views are at every angle. From the windows or from the terrace, quite literally everywhere.
Little Touches
Hiring a home from Unique Home Stays is super easy. You can book online here, and receive a set of instructions for arrival. Obviously each location has a different set up. We arrived to a lovely hamper of wine and snacks, the bathrooms were stocked with miniature shower gels and shampoo and the house was clean and well presented. I can not fault it. Well except for the stairs, we didn’t get on and I certainly didn’t agree to sign up to a work out every time I walked up and down them.
All I have to say is thank you who ever redesigned this place it truly is awesome I can not recommend it enough. I had the best time and this place will always have special memories for me.
