The Flint House Restaurant

The Flint House Restaurant is fast becoming a favourite of mine. As we’ve been there a few times now, I figured it was about time I put a little post together.

Details

Location: 13 Hannington Lanes, Brighton. It’s a great location in the heart of the lanes that has gone through renovation so all looks really new and up market. It’s owned by the Ginger Man group. Offering a variety of small plates and nibbles, along with locally sourced drinks. To check out their website click here.

Food

I love the concept with the food. I’m that person that wants to try everything on the menu and this in a round about way allows you to. They recommend 3 plates a person and if your companion is willing to share thats 6 tasty plates. The menu changes seasonally. We’ve been in the summer and the winter. They have some classics that tend to stay all year round. Sweetcorn fritters, ham croquet and the best blue cheese and honey crumpet you’ve ever eaten. Sitting up at the chefs counter is a great way to enjoy your food, the staff are happy chatting if you fancy and I quite like the nosey aspect of it.

Drinks

Lots of drinks on offer from soft drinks to my favourite local bubbles, Ridgeview. Bottles of delicious wine, cocktail and beers. They have a roof terrace, perfect for the summer months. The food menu is a lot smaller up there it’s more nibbles, olives almonds, charcuterie. The terrace is bliss think a large glass of Rose, a few nibbles the sun shining, good company. The perfect location for a date, or catch up with the girls.

The food is great, the drinks are the perfect accompaniment. They adapt to the time of year and it’s just a really great vibe. I can’t wait to get back there in the summer for vino and nibbles on the roof terrace.
