It’s not often I get excited for new Mac Cosmetic collection. I’m quite happy in my little neutral bubble and often the collections can be a little way out and just not my thing.
Add Mariah Carey a shed load of sparkle and I’m on board. I couldn’t help myself. It’s a neutral lovers dream. The packaging is 100% Mariah Carey, all the sparkle and then some more.
The Products are the usual good quality you get from mac, as if we could expect anything less. The eyeshadows have a nice amount of pigment and blend well. I picked the ‘It’s everything’ palette and the colours work great together or equally as well on their own if you’re feeling lazy or just like one simple colour. Twinks is a core collection colour and although the others have different names I like to be completely honest here and have to say you can get very similar all year round. That may put some off but just look at the packaging you can’t get that all year round, I know I know I’m crazy.
The lipsticks give an even colour pay off. I picked ‘Get so OOC’ which is quite unusual but non the less a beautiful mauve brown, it has a super pretty metallic sheen making it a little bit different. ‘Bit of Bubbly’ is kinda a mistake for me, I can’t even pretend it looks good. Note to self do not pick colours online. It definitely is too pale nude. You know the kind that makes you look dead. Colour aside its still a great lipstick if you’re into that.
