You’ve all heard of Bombay Sapphire, I’m sure. If not where have you been hiding. That said who knew they had a beautiful distillery that’s open to tours and tastings. Now we’re talking.

Location, Hampshire at Laverstoke Mill
Tickets cost £17.50 per person and cover the cost of your tour and 1 Bombay Sapphire Gin cocktail. They also do a cocktails master class at £45 per person. You can check out their website here for more information.
The site is beautiful and they have added a glass atrium filled with botanicals found in their gin. The Mill has been restored with respect and they have some great little seating spaces dotted along the river, perfect for sipping cocktails and soaking up the sunshine in the summer months.
Tour
The tour takes you around the site. An informative guide fills you in on all the history of the Mill. Then takes you round different areas of the distillery.
Everything from the history and development of the brand to the gin making it self.
You’ll pick your cocktail based on which botanicals you like the smell of and finally enjoy relaxing in the bar with your chosen cocktail.
Thoughts
If you’re local to Hampshire it’s something interesting and different to do. I think they have done well to keep it going with all the COVID restrictions and not make it feel like your experience is affected. We went in Autumn and I think this is more of a summer experience so you can sit outside and enjoy some food and sample the Gins.
The Mill is Beautiful and I liked how you picked your cocktail based on the flavours you liked the smell of. Cocktails were delicious and we had a lovely little trip out.
They have a store for you to purchase and recreate your cocktails at home. We went for a gin which is exclusive to the distillery.
