Micellar Cleansing Water

Micellar cleansing water, the water looking liquid with clever bubbles that attract and grab dirt for quick and easy make up removal.

It’s not exactly a new thing but we all know if something proves popular every brand jumps on the band wagon and so here we are having such a selection that we literally can’t move for it.

Having tried a few I’ve found you really don’t need to splash the cash cheaper works just the same as the more expensive ones. Micellar water removes make up effectively but gently. Your skin feels lovely and soft rather than stripped. A tip for mascara removal, soak a cotton pad and press onto lashes, let it soak the lashes for about a minute, no need to get a timer out, and then sweep away your make up.

What I love

Its gentle on your skin

Your skin feels comfortable after use

It’s not greasy

Make up removal is quick and effective

It doesn’t give me sore red patches round my eyes

Removes even mascara and red lips

It’s a great pre cleanse option

What I dislike

You go through a bottle fairly quickly. If its cheap, it’s not a big deal. If it’s expensive then yeah we’ve got problems. People think its a cleanser and it is not, it’s a quick fix to take your makeup off.

Some of my faves

Two affordable one a little more on the pricey side. They all work in the same way and all get you makeup off in a gentle and effective manor. The simple one may just edge into the lead. It’s a great price point and something about it just feels that tiny bit even better than the others.

My final comment is do not be mistaken, it may say cleanser on the bottle but I don’t find it to be a suitable alternative, yes it will remove your make up but no you are not gonna get a nice deep cleanse like you will with a proper cleanser.

What do you think of micellar waters? let me know if you have any recommendations
