Nude Lipsticks

Nude lipsticks have become a big staple in my make up collection. They are easy to wear. Super easy to apply, no red smudges all around your mouth where you have tried to hide the fact that, oh god your hand wouldn’t stop shaking and so you went a little out the lines. You can wear them in the day or for a night out. Nudes can quite literally be worn any where and at any occasion.

Lipstick must haves

When picking my lipstick I like something that feels a little bit creamy. It has to be fairly long wearing, I’d love to have time to patch up my make up through out the day but frankly I’m too lazy to make time. The colour pay off needs to be good, it’s so disappointing when a lipstick doesn’t fill in properly and you are left with a streaky pout.

I’m Loving

So here are a few nudes that I’m loving and that I think tick the boxes for being good lipsticks. They are from all different price ranges so hopefully something for everyone.

Rimmel Kate Moss – The cheap favourite as you will see there are a couple of these. These lipsticks are so great the colours are lovely, the texture is nice to work with. They have a sweet scent and on me they wear well.

Mac Everyone loves a Mac lipstick, they are that mid point between a high street brand and a high end brand, you’re guaranteed to like the one you buy, and they generally tick all the boxes. Oh yes and they have that sweet sickly scent a bit like the Rimmel ones.

Clinique Lip Pop – A recent launch from Clinique and they are a flippin great lipstick. These have the creamiest texture, but with very good staying power. They boast a lipstick and primer all in one and I would say they hit the nail on the head for being an all round great lipstick.

Estée Lauder Pure Colour Envy Liquid Lip Potion – Firstly ummm longest name ever and secondly another new release. This is one of those it’s a lipstick but not a lipstick products. The minute I swatched this I was like yep thats mine I’ll take it. Super easy to apply. I don’t really know how to describe the texture but its a thick liquidy formula. It glides on super nice and the wand makes for a very easy effortless application. I will say these do dry and don’t stay creamy, but they do it in a really nice way that it just feels like you don’t have any lipstick on. You could argue this isn’t really a nude but as it’s called extreme nude and it’s a brown/nude colour so I’m gonna try and get away with sneaking it in.

Tom Ford – The luxury lipstick. I’m not sure how worth the money these lipsticks are, I’m still working on how you can justify the splurge. I had seen this colour on someone’s Instagram and immediately new I needed it. Perhaps there is a cheaper alternative, but instead of being a pinky peachy nude its like a peachy nude with a brown under tone. The packaging is definitely luxury and is very pretty and the lipstick is exactly everything you want from a lipstick.

I hope there is something here for everyone and if you’re looking for a nice nude lipstick that this sends you in the right direction. Let me know if you have any recommendations.
