The Hang Over Pamper

So it’s New Years Day. You are potentially lying in bed feeling sorry for your self having drank more glasses of champagne than you care to admit. You probably took your make up off last night with a face wipe because you just wanted to roll into bed and now your skin hates you for it.

They say start the year as you mean to go on so grab a cup of tea a big fluffy dressing gown, get your ass out of bed and give your skin a pick me up so your looking great to start the year.

Pick your favourite cleanser to start, I’m currently loving Sarah Chapman’s Skinesis Ultimate cleanse. Its perfect for getting your make up off and feels nice and luxurious to add a bit of pamper. Get any scraps of make up off that you may have missed last night, or maybe you did the god awful thing of rolling into bed with your make up on, I won’t judge we have all been there.

Next apply a generous layer of Hydrating/nourishing face mask. This is gonna save your skin from drying up like a prune from all the alcohol. Plus I’m sure a little lie down again while you wait for it to do its magic could be just what you need. Something like The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing mask. This makes your skin look super healthy and feel soft, it doesn’t cause you to break out either.

To finish gently pat a little eye cream round your eyes, Clinique Pep Start is a good one for the times you need to look like you’ve had a great night sleep when you definitely have not. Smother your face in serum. As we are trying to look bright and glowing something like the Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate. It’s the perfect skin pick me up for glowing hydrated skin. Finally my old faithful Moisture Surge from Clinique, it’s packed full of hyaluronic acid which plumps and hydrates your skin, the cooling gel texture is refreshing too.

Don’t forget you can use any products that you have these are just my suggestions, think glowing hydrated awake skin when you’re picking your products and you can’t go wrong.

Happy New Year
