The Birchbox, a subscription service where you pay to have a surprise box of beauty treats sent to you each month. A great way to discover new things and try out a whole world of different products. Don’t mean to be a party pooper, but this makes me feel ill. I like to be in complete control of what I’m buying. I do research look into brands and read reviews before splashing the cash. Spending on a box of stuff I might not like well quite frankly it breaks me out in a rash.
Selfridges Birchbox
A little birdie tweeted and I got word of the Selfridges Birchbox. Through out September pop into Selfridges beauty workshop. It’s a wonderful world of all things beauty and you can build your own birchbox. Now this is my kinda language. I headed there saw lots of brands and bits I’d like to try and before I new it I was buying. Priced at £15 I think this is pretty good deal.
Details
The lovely girls give you a box and a bag along with a tick list and off you go, 2 make-up, 1 skincare, 1 body care, 1 haircare and 1 beauty treat. I played it safe and went for products that I had heard good things about, or that people had recommended.
The goodies
Percy & Reed – reassuringly firm session hold hairspray
Rituals – yogi flow foaming shower gel sensation
Benefit – pore fessional
This Works – sleep + pillow spray
Elemis – pro-collagen marine cream
Lord and Berry – black eye liner
I’m really excited to try everything, let me know if there is anything you are interested in and I will report back once I’ve tested things out.
Have you tried birchbox or build your own? What did you think? Let me know in the comments.
